To manage an organic fruit orchard, we meticulously prune and thin each tree every year. We fertilize with compost and earthworm casting, and spray the leaves with earthworm tea and beneficial microbes. Apart from making our own compost, we also plant nitrogen-fixing plants, such as legumes, in-between our crops. Legumes unlock the nitrogen in the air and bring it into the ground where it can benefit our trees. Healthy soil is vital to growing high-quality fruits. Therefore, we take great care in cultivating a diverse and abundant soil food web and keep tilling and weeding to a minimal. During our fruit season, we have a variety of luscious organic fruits.
